Paul Brose, MD Dr. Brose is the Medical Director providing consultation on matters requiring medical decisions for health department programs.
He assists the health commissioner and the Board of Health in informing district citizens of matters affecting their health. Dr. Brose also is the Defiance County Coroner. |
Kimberly Moss, MPH, RN Kimberly serves as the health commissioner and has been employed by the Defiance County General Health District since 1990. As health commissioner she is responsible for all aspects of health district operations, including enforcement of laws, personnel, budget and health district programs. |

Mary Davis Mary has been with the health department since 1991 as the administrative assistant. She prepares budgets, processes accounts payable and receivables, payroll and reports for the Auditor of State and the Board of Health. Mary is the clerical division supervisor. |
Rebecca Gearhart As the registrar, Becky is responsible for overseeing the vital statistics department. The registrar maintains all birth and death records from 1908 to present and maintains statistics pertaining to those records. Becky joined our staff in 2003. |
Janie Haver Janie is the billing specialist for the Medicaid/Managed Care and Medicare programs. She compiles state reports, greets health department visitors and answers the phones. Janie has been with the health department since 1991. |
Dawn Eckert Dawn has been with the health department since 1988. She greets visitors and directs phone inquiries to the staff. Dawn is a clerical specialist and deputy registrar, assisting the registrar with the vital statistics division. |
