The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year.

Defiance County Health Department is offering flu vaccine at the health department on the following days:

Mondays

 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

 

Wednesdays

 8:30 am - 10:30 am

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

First Wednesday of each month, flu shots are offered until 6:00 pm

 

 Infant/Children 6 months through 18 years old - $10.00

 

Adults - 19 years and over - $20.00

 

Medicare B and Medicaid - no charge - please bring ID card to verify
